I'm Late with My Update Again...

Hello All!

Sorry that I am late with my update again...Mom and Dad have kept me busy with the holiday preparations...okay, I am not really the busy one, but I sure get tired looking at all the activity!

Well, I enjoyed a great Thanksgiving down in Texas with Dad's cousins and their kids...I was the little one this year and enjoyed all of the attention! Mom forgot to get out the camera, but I ate like a champ and enjoyed wearing my sweet potatoes as much as eating them! I also had my first tastes of turkey...smoked and baked...delicious! My Uncle Chris made some really good mashed potatoes...Mom cannot even come close!

Dad took me out to the "farm" and I got to see cows...up close and personal! There were a couple that were checking me out...and some of them even had horns! Mom was a little worried that they were going to run us over, but I knew they just thought we were bringing them some food!

Mom, Dad, and I stopped at a real volcano on our way down to Snyder. It was really pretty cool and Dad took me down into the "cone" while Mom stayed with the dogs. On a clear day, you can see 4 states from the top...and it sure looked like we were really high up there...although I guess we weren't even as high as we live, but everything around us was so flat!

If you look real close...there's an orange speck at the center of the picture...that's Dad and I at the bottom of the cone!

I missed out on the annual Castle Rock Star Lighting this year...I ended up with a little stomach bug and lost my lunch all over Mom's car! She didn't think that was very funny, but she was more worried about me. I got over that just in time to get an ear infection that makes me a little crabby...but hey who wouldn't be if their ears were hurting them?! Oh, yeah...and I am finally getting a couple more teeth!

I also enjoyed a great visit with my buddy Josh...I talked about him in my September update. He and his parents came over for dinner and play time. We had fun dancing to "Boogie Wonderland" in my Happy Feet card!

I've been helping Mom shop and I got to help Mom and Dad hang lights outside...I played with rocks while they took turns on the ladder! And I am loving watching the lights on the tree! I try to leave it alone, but every once in awhile it gets the best of me!

This past weekend we went to the Trail of Lights...very cool, but it was chilly! Mom tried taking pictures with her night setting...she didn't do too good!

Well, I've included some photos for your enjoyment! I'll send my next update after the Christmas holiday...I am off on another adventure! Merry Christmas to All!

Love,
Reese

My Birthday Bash!

I'm back...and I wanted to share photos from my birthday bash!

I had a wonderful birthday weekend...my Great Grandpa and Grandma Kesling, my Grandpa and Grandma Heidi, my Papaw, my Aunt Candice, and my Aunt Bobbi all came into town to see me! It was great to see them all and spend the weekend catching up!

Then Mom and Dad had a great party for me...I got to play with some little people friends and share in my cake and presents!

And I got some of the greatest stuff...I know it is not about the stuff, but wow, this is pretty cool stuff! I have a bunch of new books that Mom and Dad are working on reading to me...and I get to read them myself and point out the pictures.

I also got new clothes...since I am always growing Mom was pretty excited about the clothes! And, my Aunts got me this really cool horse...you'll have to check out my pics riding the pony! Grandpa and Grandma Heidi got me this little rocking chair...I get to be a big girl when I'm sitting in that!

Oh, yeah I got a new kitchen...so I can learn to help Mom out and make dinner! And Papaw got me a sports toy to help me enhance my athletic abilities...I'm working on the basketball first!

Oh, and of course I got to eat cake!!!!! It was really good and I don't think I made a mess at all! What do you think?

Well, I am very thankful for everyone that was able to join me in celebrating my birthday and for everyone that thought of me as I passed the major milestone of one year!

Thanks!

Sorry My Update is So Late!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get to the computer and update all of you on what I've been up to...October was a busy month!

The biggest news of all...I started walking! Yep, it started out as a couple steps and then grew into more steps...and then into full fledged walking! I still like pushing my car around, but now I just get up and go!

And of course, I enjoyed my first Halloween this year! I got to get dressed up and do a little trick or treating...okay, Mom and Dad really did the trick or treating...I just looked really cute! I was a Pumpkin...I know you are all thinking...boring, but way till you see me! Mom and I headed to Downtown Castle Rock for the costume contest...I didn't win, but there were a lot of cute kids to compete against! Then Dad joined us for a stroll around town to get some treats. And then I went to do a nice thing, dropped off food for a food drive, and got my picture taken.

I also enjoyed checking out some neighbors houses to show off my outfit and even greeted some of the kids at the door! Wow, there were a lot of different costumes! And Dad let me have some Twizzlers!

And in preparation for the big night, I helped Mom and Dad carve the pumpkins...well, okay I stuck my hand in the pumpkin a couple of times to see what it felt like...then I went to bed so Mom and Dad could finish.

I also went to my first pumpkin patch to pick out my pumpkin! It was a lot of fun and I hope I get to go again next year. You'll have to check out the photos...there were so many pumpkins I don't know how a kid can choose!

Mom and Dad and I watched "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!" Okay, I watched for about 2 minutes, but then I had to go off and do some playing!

And, I went to watch Dad and a bunch of guys from his work play football...it was a nice Sunday afternoon at the park. And Mom and I got to take a stroll in my stroller.

I've attached a sampling of my photo ops from the month...hope you all enjoy! And stay tuned for my next update...its the biggest of the year!

Catch you all again soon,
Reese

September Happenings!

Hello All! It's time for another update from me...I know you've all been waiting to see what I have been up to for the past month!

Let's see, I am still working on my walking thing...taking all kinds of steps with help, but not on my own yet. Don't push me...I'll get there!

I graduated to a big kids car seat...Mom and Dad decided it was time for my big seat, so now I ride in style...still backwards, but I am high enough to see out the windows now.

I've hit the 18 lb. mark finally! And 29" tall! The doctor was really happy with that progress because for a while I hadn't grown much at all. I had a good check up with my specialst this month too. She said I looked good and my lungs sounded clear, but I am still fighting off a pesky cough. I had some blood work done and we are waiting for the results to see if anything shows up for allergies that we didn't test the first time. Mom and Dad were excited because we finally got to send the oxygen and the pulse ox machines back!

The big excitement was my trip to the Pond...we went for a week and I had a pretty good time. You'll have to check out my photos from there! I had my first roll made by Grandmother...it was so yummy...now I know what Mom and Dad are always so excited about when we go to the pond!
I played with all of my cousins and all of my uncles...I met my Uncle Corey for the first time.

As you can see from my pictures, I am getting bigger and managing to make my way round the house pretty good these days! One more month and I'll be a year old...can you believe you've been reading about my escapades for a whole year?!
Enjoy the pictures!
Reese

I'm checking out the "zoo" where Addie and Katie hang out!

Dad's giving me a piggy back ride around the house!
Mom had me looking good for my school pictures...even ready to brush my little tooth...that's now become two little teeth!

Enjoying my first taste of spaghetti!
Dad and I watching our last sunset at the Pond!

Technical Difficulties

Due to technical difficulties...here are my photos!

Look at me...checking out the football score!

Me and my buddy Josh...hanging out around the Exersaucer!

Dad and I watching the river go by....

And Dad and I waving at Mom.

Here I am attempting to make a run for it...I'm wearing a really cute suit from Grandma & Grandpa Kesling...everyone loved it at daycare!

Here it is...the big moment...my haircut!

Well, here I am after my cut...and after a nap so I am a little mussed, but you see how cute I look!

Try to Catch Me Now!

It's time for another update from me...I've turned another month older and have had a pretty exciting month since my last update.

Mom and Dad have been chasing me all over the house...I can crawl and if I say so myself...pretty fast! I've also started trying to catch those dogs every now and again.

Mom, Dad, and I made a trip to South Fork, Colorado to spend a weekend with our friends, The Farr's. I got to hang out with my buddy, Josh Farr. We had a pretty good time sharing our toys and and some baby talk.

I have also started trying to walk...okay, not without assistance, but I am up on my two feet and can hold onto things to pull myself up. I have managed to hit my head a few times since I learned to do this...I even ended up with two "incident" reports from school...nothing serious, I must have a hard head!

And probably the highlight of my month...I got my first haircut! Now for those of you who have not seen me in recent months, you may not understand the magnitude of this event or why it is a big deal. I have been sporting what Mom calls a "baby mullett" and lets just say that it is not the height of fashion! I now am sporting a much girlier "bob" and hope that my hair gets back to growing in a normal pattern.

Well, I am posting a few photos for you all to enjoy. Hope my update finds you all well.

Summer Update

Hi! Well, I've hit the 9 month mark! It has been a good summer and I've been keeping myself pretty busy...and Mom and Dad too!

I am off of oxygen...had a good night study and have maintained good levels throughout the day, so the tube is gone! Also, just down to my one breathing treatment and my reflux medicine for the next several months.

Also, just hade my 9 month checkup today...they had to prick my toe and I sure didn't like that!, but my checkup was good. I weighed in at 17 lbs. 2 oz. and they measured my height at 27 1/4". I am not sure about that height thing as I was moving all over when she tried to measure me.

I also started motoring around this month...started with the scootching on my tummy, but now I can get my knees under me and get moving that way too. You should have seen the dogs when they found out I could move around by myself!!!!!

Mom and Dad have also been giving me lots of different foods...you'll see some cute photos of me chowing down!

I spent my first weekend without Mom last weekend...Dad and I had a great time! I went to a parade and the rodeo...it was Fair Week!

I'm including a few photos so you can all see how big I am getting! Enjoy!
Who can resist a cool pair of shades?

Look at me...I can stand...with only a little help!

Here I come....look out Katie & Addie!
Check out this little biscuit thing...yum!!

It was a busy month!

Hello All!

Well, today I am 8 months old...can you believe it has been 8 months already?! And I have to tell you that this month may have been one of my busiest yet!

First, I had a visit from my Grandpa and Grandma Heidi...they visited from Wisconsin! We had fun, but I was sick during their visit...so you'll see my oxygen tube in several of my photos. While they were here we went to the Zoo for my first visit. I had a great time...although it was pretty hot out so a lot of the animals were sleeping! We also checked out this cool placed called Red Rocks...Mom had to carry me and my oxygen...she was tired at the end of the trip, but I had a great time!

Since my last update, I also got to celebrate my first 4th of July! Wow, the fireworks! I enjoyed them while they lasted, but they were a little loud sometimes. And they had to be cut short here in the Rock...there were 4 fires that started on the big hill where they launched them from...Dad says 3 acres were lost. They were still really pretty cool though!

I am still on oxygen each night and I get a dose of Pulmicort each day. I was getting Albuterol twice a day, then we got to go down to once a day, then I was off totally, but now I started coughing again, so Mom and Dad started that treatment again. I also had blood work done, Mom didn't like that much, but the results all came back good and it appears that I don't have any allergies. I also had to go to the hospital for a "swallow" test...that was not fun for me at all. They gave me this yucky barium stuff, but I wouldn't take it, so they put a tube down my nose instead. And all the while that was going on, they were taking photos of my insides. We are waiting to see what the doctors saw from the pictures though. I still manage to keep smiling at Mom and Dad though...as you will see from my photos.

Well, I guess I better show you my photos....enjoy!
Here I am ready to roll at the Zoo!
Here're Mom and I at the top of the seating at Red Rocks...you could see forever up there!
Here's me on 4th of July....playing, showing off my cool hat, and covering my ears during the fireworks!
And here're just a couple shots of me being cute...playing with Dad and enjoying a bottle as I drift off to sleep!
