It's been a while...

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since I sat down to update you all on what I've been up to...sorry about that, but a toddler's life is very busy!

You've got to keep up with the sales!

Look how big I've gotten...I can almost open the door!

July 2009
I went on a really big road trip...we hit 7 states in 7 days...I went to Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and of course Colorado! I got to see my friend Bennett in Minnesota and my family at Grandpa's in Wisconsin! I had a good time playing with everyone and camping out next to the barn. The only part I didn't like was the sitting in the truck part...wow, after awhile sitting gets very boring! I've included some photos of my travels for you to enjoy.

My first taste of salt water taffy...yum, yum!

Mommy, Daddy, and Me at Crazy Horse.

Daddy and I checking out Mt. Rushmore...this place was pretty cool!

August 2009
Well, nothing all that exciting...except me getting bigger, learning to say more words, getting into things that maybe I am not supposed to, and having a good time. Oh, yeah, Mommy's friend Stacy came for a visit, but Bennett stayed home with his Daddy.

Nothing like catching up on a little reading!

September 2009
So far its been a good month...Dad and I visited the zoo while Mommy was at Aunt Candice's. We had friends over for dinner, I went to Mommy's work picnic, and I got two more teeth this month!

Playing the drums...the quiet way!

I love chips!
I know this update is detail filled, but I hope you enjoy the photos and my brief update. I'll be more timely next month...afterall I will have to model my Halloween costume and my pumpkins!
Take care,
Reese

Summer in Colorado

It's about that time again...I need to fill you all in on what's been going on for the past month! Of course, now that its summer, I have to wear my shades!

I've been pretty busy with trips to the Zoo, Story Time at the Library, Swim Class, and all sorts of other stuff.

Mom and Dad got a membership to the Zoo so we could go as often as we like...which has been pretty cool...I've gone twice already!

Zoo Trip #1 - The Lions!!! Did you know that they go "roar"?

Zoo Trip #1 - Chillin' with my water at Monkey Island.

Zoo Trip #2 - Checking out the giraffe skin!
Zoo Trip #2 - Dad and I and an enormous elephant!!!
And we've been trying to take in Story Time...apparently, reading is a good thing! I get to check out a couple of books each time we go...and Mom and Dad even let me go to the book table and get the ones that I want! My favorite so far has been "EarthQuack!"

I also had swim class this month...it was very scary at first, but by the last class I was an old pro. I even kick my feet and try to use my arms and I sort of blow bubbles in the water too!

Swim Lesson #1 - I am crying my eyes out!

Swim Lesson #2 - A little better this time and I got to play with the ball!

I learned to help Mom make eggs this weekend...I got to stir them all up and watch as they went into the pan. Maybe I'll tackle the grilling with Dad next!

Wow - this is fun!
I got some cool new shoes too. One of Mom's coworkers knows I like ducks and they found these really cool shoes...check them out! And the best part, I can take them on and off by myself!

Kicking it with Dad on Father's Day!

Showing off my shoe skills!

I've been staying very busy entertaining the dogs and playing with buddies at school and in the neighborhood.

Love,
Reese

18 Months and Counting!

Hello Everyone - Time for a little update from me!
Yep, its true I am 18 months old now! My how time flies while you are learning to be a toddler! I've had another busy month and have been learning all sorts of good things.

I had my 18 month check-up and round of shots...don't understand all of those darn things and I cannot wait for them to be over! Anyway, the doctor thought I looked great and was doing all of the things that little 18 month olds should be doing. I weighed in at a hefty 20 lb. 12 0z. and a very tall 31 1/4" tall! That means that I grew and gained a little weight, which are both very good things. Since I gained a little weight, the doctor thought I was doing good and is not thinking that I've got any other issues. I moved up to the 8th percentile in weight and stayed the same for height...about the 48th percent.

Mom and Dad also helped me plant a tree in the yard for Earth Day / Arbor Day. It's a willow tree that is supposed to grow fast and like moist conditions...we put it next to the fence that is along the run-0ff area.

I've been busy helping Mom plant some flowers...I threw the dirt onto the sidewalk and helped carry the watering can! I've also been hanging out with my friend Abby. She's already got a car and we cruise around the area in front of our houses!

As usual, Mom forgot the camera, but I had a great time at May Days here at a local farm. I got to see sheep, goats, a cow, and ride on a hayride. It was fun, but the cow moooed so loudly that I got a little scared and started to cry!

I've been getting pretty good with my words and I keep working at them. I am also very fond of "NO" and will tell you what I do and do not want to do these days. So, if you don't want to hear my opinion, you better not ask me for it.

I've attached several pictures for you to enjoy! Hope you are all doing well!

Love,
Reese

Here I am checking out the window well and helping Dad check on the trees.
And here's Dad and I enjoying some pudding...I am not drinking the beer with Dad, just eating the pudding!

We can't all look this good on a Saturday morning!

You gotta love those afternoon snacks!

Abby and I cruising the neighborhood...if only I could drive!

Me and my tree!!!

Here I am ready for school!

Time for an Update...

Hello Everyone and Happy Spring!
Although if you watched the news this weekend, you might have seen that we got hit with a snow storm...yep, we got about 20" of wet, heavy snow! Dad was super excited because he got to use his snow blower...several times! I went out to play a little too...check out the photos of me standing on the snow pile!

I've been pretty busy since my last update...I flew on another plane trip, visited Grandmother & Granddad and Nana in Oklahoma, and made the long car trip home!
I got to hunt for Easter Eggs!

Grandmother is showing me how to pull my wagon!

And here I am sitting with my hands in my pockets...just like Grandmother!

I went to work with Mom for part of the day too...I helped answer phones, play on the computer, and make everyone smile when they saw me holding down the front desk!
And for some reason, I am learning how to enjoy my food just a little bit more!
Cottage Cheese Anyone?
How 'bout a little ravioli???

I'll keep my update short and just attach several pictures so that you can all check them out!
Here's the start of my trail at the pond in Oklahoma.
And here I am trying to show Daddy how to ride the 4-wheeler!

Reese

Spring is in the air...

Hello Everyone! Time for my monthly ramblings...

Well, spring is officially here, but here in Colorado we finally had a big snow storm! I can say "snow" now and think its pretty cold to the touch! Mom and Dad let me go out to check out the shoveling activities in the driveway. Mom didn't get any pictures of that though...she never has the camera out when she should!

I've been learning to say "NO" too. Of course, Mom and Dad don't like that very much, but they better get used to it! I am learning to tell them when I don't want something...like my sippy cup or when what they think I should eat is not what I want to eat...like my dinner!

I've learned a few more words...I am getting good at cookie (of course that just makes it easier to ask for one!), snow, no, and a few other words too. Mom and Dad are working with me everyday as we read my books. I still like my animals and am getting pretty good as some sounds that they make...like moo, woof-woof, and peep-peep.

Mom and Dad are excited that my hair is finally starting to look a little better. I guess it has some curl now and not just straight...that must come from Dad! I've even let Mom put a barrette in my hair!

Check out my curls and my serious side!

There hasn't been too many exciting things to report this month - just growing into my toddlerhood and getting into all sorts of mischief! Check out my photos below and I'll report in again real soon!

Love,
Reese
Dad and I are enjoying a little pudding...and I wanted to share some with Mom!

I may not be 16 yet, but check out my wheels!

Dad and I kicking it on the front porch!

And here I am playing with all my toys!

A little update from Reese...

Hello All!

Time for me to get on the computer and fill you on my monthly happenings!
Well, I turned 15 months old...yep, its been 15 months since I blessed my parents with my presence!

So, I had my 15 month checkup too. And my pediatrician thought I looked fabulous...and I am doing all the things that I am supposed to do...that is except gaining weight. I weighed in at 19 lbs and 30" tall...so since my 9 month checkup I've only really gained a pound. The doc says that if I don't gain anything significant by the next checkup that she may want to run some tests...ugh! So Mom and Dad were given ideas for more calories and more yummies for me. Although I tend to eat plenty of food...4 pancakes this morning!

Here I am eating my first apple!

I made a trip down to see Mom's superintendent and his wife at their place in the mountains...and they gave me a wagon for Christmas. Now, I am riding around in style with my very own wagon...sporting the all terrain tires! Thanks Lee & Barbara! And what a cool place they have...a log cabin that has a view of Pikes Peak!
See my wagon in the garage...Katie's checking it out while I run to see Dad.
This month has been sort of a normal month...you know, just being a little one and trying to grow up to be a big kid!
I watched the Superbowl with some friends...I think they watched more of me than of the game!
I am up to 8 teeth...4 on the top in the front, 2 on the bottom in the front, and two of those big molars in the back!
I can say cow, dog, Addie, night, night, bye, hey, hi, hello, uh-oh, 0h-no, and a few others. Of course, they may not sound like the words you all say, but to those who listen closely you can hear them.
Here's Addie and I playing!
Oh, yeah and I know where my nose, eyes, hair, and mouth are now too.

Well, with that little update, I guess I should post my pictures and sign off till the next time!
Reese
Here's me singing and dancing to my Valentine's card!
And here I am looking awfully cute, don't you think!?

Is it 2009 Already?!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry I am late sitting down to the computer again...you just don't realize how time flies by when you are an active little toddler! Since its been a while since I last updated you all, I will only hit the high points of my goings on.

Of course there was Christmas...and what fun that was! I made the trip with Mom and Dad to Ohio and I had a wonderful time. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful visit...I've attached a couple of photos of my big trip! I met my cousins and aunts and uncles and had a great time playing and visiting.
This is me on my new battery operated 4-wheeler!
I flew on the airplane for the 2nd time. I think I did pretty well for having to sit on Mom and Dad's lap for three hours! I wanted to get up and go, but I had to stay put. I don't think I annoyed too many folks around me...I wasn't the only little one and I didn't cry very much either!

Then there was New Years Eve...and Mom and Dad and I went out to a fancy dinner...I even got to wear my party dress! I think I did pretty well at dinner and even managed to use my table manners. I didn't stay up till midnight...that is way too late for me!

Check out me...heading out for the evening with my woobie and my sparkly skirt!

We made a quick trip to Texas right after the New Year, but that wasn't a very fun trip for me...I ended up with RSV from daycare and was pretty miserable the whole time...and from what Mom and Dad say, I made them pretty miserable too.
I am working on getting some more teeth...number 5 and number 6 are coming in. I am also starting to use a couple more words...I think I say "dog", but it sounds more like "do" and also "cow", but it sounds more like "ko". I like reading my books and I am starting to learn to pick up my toys.
Well, that's a short recap of my goings on recently. I hope you all enjoy the photos!
Love,
Reese
